More detail on this person: Mr Marvin C Layfield, 57 OBITUARIES Fort Worth Star-Telegram (TX) - Tuesday, May 7, 1991 Airline employee BEDFORD - Marvin C. Layfield, an American Airlines simulator instructor, died Sunday at an Arlington hospital. He was 57. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, Fla. Arlington Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Layfield was born in Andrews, S.C., and had lived in Bedford for eight years.He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross with an oak leaf cluster. Survivors: Wife, Tangye Layfield of Bedford; mother, Mary K. Layfield of Milledgeville, Ga.; and two sisters, Eugenia Proctor and Inez L. Hawkins, both of Milledgeville.
