More detail on this person: I worked with Jan at Primary Flight Brach, Hanchy Div. in the late 1970s. I do not know much about his time in Vietnam but in was in early 1973 and his unit stood down and he returned with a short tour. I knew him and his wife and his dad was a big wig with GM and when he got home they were mid-years shut down and his dad told him to picked out an unfinished car and he picked out a 1972 Chevy Chevelle without front seats or engine/transmission. They put this biggest motor that would fit and 1973 swivel-seats which could not swivel as the sills were too high. All I know is it guzzled gas and in the late 1970s he was not happy. When he got out of the active Army they returned to Michigan and he went to work for GM and the Mich Nat. Guard. All I can say he was a pleasant person to work for and he died to young.
