More detail on this person: I have a little more info on James H Lisowski. His tombstone in Washington Cemetery, Washington, Warren County, New Jersey, USA lists him as a Captain ( Nov. 17, 1944 - May 7, 1979). The Veterans Affairs BIRLS Death File lists his Enlistment Date as 8 Nov 1966 and his Release Date as 4 Feb 1972. I also have a postcard he sent from Camp Fama Hospital, Japan to his aunt in NY. It is postmarked on 9/18/1968. The text reads: "Dear Aunt Shirley, Nope didn't make it to Australia, but sort of got up on the wrong side of the bed one morning and flew into a lead storm. The food's fantastic for a hospital, and I should be home in about a month. I saw Fuji in person last December at sunrise. Exquisite. see y'all soon JHL" So he was apparently injured in September, 1968. He probably received the Purple Heart for that -Paul Roales
