More detail on this person: My Hero: This is to inform you that my father (Dean M. Lovett) was a member of the 173rd AHC Robinhood 19. He served 7-70 to 7-71 in Lie Keh, Dong HA. I am getting this information from an application for the VHPA. He would be sending this e-mail but he past away May 5th.

I titled this e-mail My Hero because that is how I and so many others feel about him. You see he did not give birth to me but he was my daddy. My mom and Dean got married when I was 9, and he was more of a dad to me than my real father. He was a mentor and father figure to many young men and women throughout his life.

He died still doing what he loved. He was still flying helicopters in the gulf. In fact he flew the day he died. We all thank God that he did not die in the air or on his way home. He was found 50 yards from our house in the car.

He was a great husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly miss by all.

I would like to see his name on the honor role so others may know what a great man he was.
