More detail on this person: Michael A. Moore, 1948-2007 Michael A. Moore, 1948-2007 Vail Daily (CO) - Wednesday, January 17, 2007 Michael Moore died Sunday morning in his sleep at his home in Denver. Born in Denver in 1948, Moore attended Loyola and St. Louis grade schools and St. Francis High School. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Moore was a lifelong member of the Colorado National Guard and was involved the National Guard's High Altitude Aviation Training Site in Eagle. For a period in the 1970s he worked for the Governor's Advocacy Office. After his family, Moore's loves were flying helicopters and teaching, friends and family members said. Moore was preceded in death by his son, David. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; his children Andrea, Ryan, Michael, Colleen, Shaun and Lindsay; his granddaughter Zoe; and a large extended family. A memorial service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2301 York St., Denver. Memorial contributions may be made to Doctors Without Borders, c/o S. Osten, 333 7th Ave., New York, New York, 10001.
