More detail on this person: John T Murdock, 65 John T. Murdock Norwich Bulletin (CT) - Wednesday, January 19, 2011 April 17, 1945 - January 16, 2011 POMFRET CENTER-John T. Murdock, 65, of Brook Front Lane Pomfret Center, died January 16, 2011 after a brief illness at Boston General Hospital. Born in Putnam on April 17, 1945, son of William and Barbara (Baker) Murdock. He was married to Mala Murdock. In addition to his parents and wife, John is survived by his daughter Nantida K. Murdock, two sisters Sandra and Diane Murdock, his twin brothers Donald and Douglas Murdock. John graduated from Putnam High School in 1963 and entered the army in 1966. He graduated from Officer Candidate School and obtained the rank of Captain. John served his country as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. After serving in the military, John continued flying helicopters in Saudia Arabia, Iran, Indonesia, Bolivia and Mexico. John made his home in Thailand for more than 20 years, where he met and married his wife. The last fifteen years of his life, John continued flying in The United States and eventually owned his own Company. John lived his life to the fullest and will be missed by people all over the world. There will be no services. Any donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
