I talked to Mike's son, Bobby, today and got what
little information is available. Mike went into
the hospital with pneumonia and then passed away
due to liver failure. As most of you probably
know, he had been ill with cancer for several
years, and as Bobby said, he lived longer than
anyone expected. Bobby had been living with Mike
for the past couple of years in San Antonio. Bobby
plans to have a celebration of Mike's life on his
birthday, August 4th, at Fort Sam Houston, if he
can the arrangements scheduled. As I get more
details and firm information, I will pass it on to
everyone. Also, I doubt that Bobby will send an
obituary notice to VHPA, so let me know if you
would like to volunteer. If anyone would like to
send a condolences to the family, Mike's address
was: 246 Fenwick, San Antonio, TX 78239 Please
pass this on to anyone that I may have missed.
