More detail on this person: Mr John Norman Mcfarlane, 50 Obituaries Ocala Star-Banner (FL) - Wednesday, January 25, 1995 OCALA -- John Norman McFarlane, 50, pilot, died Jan. 21, 1995, at his home. A native of Miami, he moved here from Neptune Beach. He was a graduate of Fletcher High School and continued his education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Institute. Mr. McFarlane served two tours of active duty as a pilot during the Vietnam War, with the rank of captain. He also was a corporate pilot for University Hospital's Trauma One Helicopter. Survivors include his mother, Edna Stephenson, Neptune Beach; stepfather, Richard Stephenson, Neptune Beach; daughter, Laurie McFarlane, Florida; son, John Norman 'Mickie' McFarlane III, Florida; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Diane McFarlane.
