More detail on this person: Victor D. Massaglia FUNERALS AND MEMORIALS Austin American-Statesman (TX) - Sunday, June 18, 2006 Victor D. Massaglia passed away May 31st, 2006. He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, but also lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota and in central Texas for much of his life. Vic volunteered for the draft in 1966 and completed two tours in Vietnam, one as infantry and one as a helicopter pilot in the air cavalry. He was a platoon leader during both tours. He earned a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star, a Silver Star and many other honors. He was discharged in 1973. Vic lived in Austin for most of twenty years, managing at several local Radio Shacks. He enjoyed billiards, barbeque and good friends. He is survived by three sons, Victor Massaglia, David Massaglia and Chris Mackey. He is also survived by a daughter, Stephanie D'Herde. No services are planned at this time.
