More detail on this person: Frank Martin Martin 1946-2022. Born in New Orleans to Ray and Mary Martin. He Left this earthly realm, on June 23, to join the angels and saints in Heaven with our Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. Frank earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University. Frank served in the United States Army as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War. His heroic actions resulted in the saving of many lives. To honor his heroics, the Army bestowed upon him the Purple Heart, The Distinguished Flying Cross, and The Silver Cross. Frank spent many years at Honeywell, in the IT and Systems Engineering departments. Frank, also, owned and operated The Bike Barn in Phoenix for 37 years. He was an avid cyclist and rode bikes all over the world. He left a legacy with the success of the Bike shop continuing through new ownership. Frank was an amateur astronomer, with observatories in Cave Creek and his residence, where he took amazing photos of the universe! He loved the sport of golf and tennis, and played quite often. He loved to fish. He and his son had many fishing adventures together. He and his wife shared the love of fishing and spent many of their anniversary's fishing in all parts of the US and Canada. Frank served on the board of directors of Gompers for many years, as a director and board member. Frank is preceded, in death, by his parents, Ray and Mary Martin, and his second wife Myla. He leaves behind a beloved wife, Michele Martin, a beloved son, Michael Martin, a dear sister, Barbara Liska, two step daughters, Emily and Maggie, and two nieces, Debbie Mason and Deanna Searles. Frank was not only a war hero, he was a hero to all who were blessed with crossing his path. He will be sorely missed and may his beautiful soul Rest In eternal Peace!
