More detail on this person: Edwin Paul "Ed" McKee passed away at age 81 on August 17, 2025 in Arlington, TX. He was born on 19 January 1944 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, first with the 174th AHC and later with the 191st Assault Helicopter Company. His courage and dedication were matched only by his humility-he wore his service with pride but rarely spoke of it unless it added humor to a good story. A proud graduate of the University of Texas, Ed went on to earn his law degree and build a distinguished career as a forensic accountant. He spent over 30 years with Lain Faulkner, where he was known for his sharp mind, integrity, and unwavering work ethic. His colleagues admired his ability to find truth in the numbers-and to bring levity to even the most complex cases. Ed was the definition of a life well-lived. A beloved husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend to many. Ed was a man who could light up any room with a twinkle in his eye and a prank up his sleeve. He loved to laugh-and loved even more to make others laugh. Anyone who knew Ed knew he was a character, a storyteller, and a man who never missed an opportunity to stir up a little mischief. Ed now joins his beloved wife of many years, Joanne McKee, who passed away 21 years ago. He is survived by his daughters, Shannon McKee and her husband John Seidel, and Heather Lucas and her husband Bryan Lucas, and his adoring grandchildren: Rachel Lucas, Jessica Lucas, Colton Seidel, and Ainsley Seidel.
