From the first day I told my parents that I knew I would always love and would someday marry her but she wasn't so sure. Camille and I raised the most wonderful family (including all of the dogs) and I depart this place a very, very proud father, father-in-law and grandfather who loved each and every one of them with all my heart."  Vincent is a highly decorated retired Army colonel and master aviator who was shot down four times in combat. Among his medals and awards he received the Combat Infantry Badge, 32 Air Medals (many with V Devices worn to denote "participation in acts of heroism involving conflict with an armed enemy"), the Legion Of Merit, 2 Purple Hearts, 2 Distinguished Flying Crosses and 2 Bronze Stars w/ V Devices as well as many service medals. During his military career he earned several Bachelor of Arts Degrees, one from Auburn University, a Master's Degree from Central Michigan University and a Ph.D. from the University of California. He is also a graduate of the New Jersey Military Academy. His final two Army assignments were with helicopter research and development and finally as an Inspector General with Forces Command. Vincent was active in the Lake Oconee community, he wrote a widely read political newsletter, was co-founder of the Lake Oconee Tennis Association, was an active golfer and tennis player until he became seriously ill from exposure to Agent Orange while flying in the Vietnam War and he served as the President of The Harbor Club Master Property Owners Association for eight years. He grew up in Rutherford, New Jersey, the only son of Peter and Frances Mancuso originally of Corleone Sicily.  A memorial will be held on January 21st at The Harbor Club Clubhouse from 3-7.
