Mooney, 79, of Riverside, loving father of Sean (Zelida), Suzanne and Scott Mooney; dearest grandpa of Naomi and Sebastian Mooney and granddog Jake; dear brother of Stephen (Susie) and the late Lawrence Mooney; fond uncle; and dear friend of the late Mary Nakayama. U.S. Army Veteran. Served as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. Loved Irish music, telling stories, and volunteering. Funeral Mass Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 126 Herrick Road Riverside. Please arrive by 9:45 a.m. to check in. Mass will be lived streamed at https://youtu.be/LUDIN2eYYwY. Interment on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421 .
