More detail on this person: Moore, Leon Marion, Jr., died suddenly on Monday, April 8, 2013. He was the son of Leon Marion Moore, Sr. and Lou Ella Moore. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sue Johnston Moore; sons, Kimbrell Scott (Brandy) Moore and Martin Keith Moore; Kenneth (Lori) Williams; grandsons, Brandon Wood, Hurst and Alex Williams; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members. Mr. Moore was a proud Marine who defended his country as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam before a successful career in insurance as a co-owner of Insurance and Bonds, Inc. Leon was an avid Alabama Football fan. He loved the outdoors, was a passionate hunter and fisherman and kept a bountiful garden. Visitation will be on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 12 - 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m. with burial following in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to in Leon's memory to The Wounded Warriors Project at woundedwarriorproject.org. Condolences may be offered at www.alabamaheritagefh.com
