More detail on this person: I served with Howard Machado in Viet Nam, he served with A Company, 15th Trans, 1st Air Cav Division during 1969-70 located at Long Thon (Bear Cat) and later Phu Loi in III Corp. At that time he served as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. He was, I think originally from Hawaii, and his father, Lionel D. Machado was VP for Operations of Hawaiian Airlines in the late 60's and early 70's. During his tour I remember he went home to witness the birth of his first child, Howard Michael Machado, Jr. I found him to be a very family oriented, caring officer and a gentleman in every aspect.
