More detail on this person: Age 68, of North Strabane Township, PA passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn Tohey Malek; wonderful father of Joseph (Jacqueline) Malek; brother of Eugene (Mary Beth) Malek; brother-in-law of Kathleen Kalish; son-in-law of Mildred Tohey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nephews. He served his country in Combat Operations in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970 in the 1st Calvary, 61st Air Assault Group as a Helicopter pilot earning two distinguished Flying Crosses, a Bronze Star and many other medals. Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. at CREMATION AND FUNERAL CARE, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. A service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens in McMurray, PA.
