More detail on this person: Neil McLean OBITUARIES News-Gazette, The (Champaign-Urbana, IL) - Thursday, December 11, 2003 CHAMPAIGN - Memorial services for Neil McLean, 69, of Champaign will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mittendorf-Calvert Funeral Home, 2400 Galen Drive, C. The Rev. Jim McClarey will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. McLean died at 3:05 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 6, 2003) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. He was born May 7, 1934, in Manville, R.I., a son of Edwin and Matilda Dickey McLean. He married Ann Stike. She preceded him in death. He married Judith Butterick on July 8, 1977, in Urbana. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Scott McLean of Urbana; two daughters, Betty McLean of Champaign and Bonnie McCoy of Ohio; a stepson, Sam Zimmerman of Bloomington; a stepdaughter, Sheila Brown of Champaign; two brothers, Don McLean of Cumberland, R.I., and Jim McKenna of Plymouth, Wis.; a sister, Arlene O'Brien of Green, R.I.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister and a granddaughter. Mr. McLean retired from the Army and was a postal clerk. He was a member of VFW in Champaign, American Legion and AMVETS. Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
