More detail on this person: Edward Wayne McBride Edward Wayne McBride, 68, of Killeen, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012. Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen. Burial will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m., March 1, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Edward was the son of the late Boyce Edward and Edna McBride. He graduated from St. Martin College with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. He was a rotary and fixed-wing pilot, and served 27 years of active duty in the military and was a Vietnam veteran. He retired Jan. 31, 1993, with numerous medals, including a Bronze Star. Upon retirement from the military, he served 18 years for the city of Killeen. He was preceded in death by a nephew, John Allison. Survivors include his wife, Susan; daughters, Melissa Rogers and Debbie Robertson and husband, Jimmy; son, Michael Level and wife, Angie; six grandchildren; sisters, Martha Rollins and husband, Ronnie, of South Carolina, and Prisilla Allison, of Georgia; brother, Harry Wesley McBride, of South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews; and two great-nieces.
