More detail on this person: Raymond E. McCabe Obituaries Fayetteville Observer, The (NC) - Saturday, June 28, 2003 Retired Army Maj. Raymond E. McCabe, 71, of 741 Galloway Drive, Fayetteville, died Thursday, June 26, 2003, in his home. Mr. McCabe served in the Army for 23 years and was a civil service employee for 22 years before retiring. He was a member of Lagrange Park Baptist Church. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Lagrange Park Baptist Church by the Rev. David L. Weeks. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Maxton. Mr. McCabe is survived by his wife, Sarah I. McCabe of Fayetteville; three sons, Raymond S. McCabe of Clayton, James B. McCabe of Plano, Texas, and Alan J. McCabe of Cary; a daughter, Suzanne M. Robertson of Fayetteville; three brothers, Robert McCabe of Sagle, Idaho, Donald McCabe of Chipley, Fla., and Benjamin Turner of Green Valley, Ariz.; two sisters, Gayle Raine of Priest River, Idaho, and Arlene Turnbo of Nord Man, Idaho; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Lagrange Park Baptist Church, 7502 Ascot Ave., Fayetteville, NC 28303-1904.
