More detail on this person: Tim Michael McCoy MCCOY, Tim Michael, The oldest son of Iris and Earl H. McCoy passed on. Born June 8, 1943 he died in his bed and was found alone in his home on March 20, 2003 by a friend. A memorial to celebrate his life will be held in Tucson Thursday, April 3, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at 5685 Rio Verde Vista. Timmy was preceded in death by his wife, Jaci; father, Earl H. (Tim); sister, Judyann; brother, Tom; two sons, Michael Wayne and Tim Michael; mother of his children, Kathy Griffin. He leaves us with a great posterity that of three grandchildren in Georgia; Ashley, Niki and Tim Michael a daughter-in-law, Sheila; Tami his daughter her children, BJ and Kathryn and two great-granddaughters. Tim also leaves a brother-in-law, Jorge Ren and his two sons, Matthew and Olaf; his family Dania, and Bianca, Rocky Point, Mexico. Timmy's mother, Iris currently resides with her only remaining daughter, Kelly Sue McCoy Sobczak in Roswell, New Mexico, Iris is 87. Kelly's family is husband, Richard; children, Austin, Ayris, Amric, a married daughter, Apryl and her husband, Sean Larkin residing in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tim served 11 years in the military with two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded two purple hearts and several commendations for bravery above and beyond the call of duty. He was a Army Navigator and a Green Beret. As a youth he served and enjoyed his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was musically inclined, enjoyed carpentery work, crafts, building all kinds of things, he liked TV and books. Tim appreciated his family and his friends but after returning from Vietnam kept very much inside himself, we missed him! We will continue now to miss him but pray that he will find happiness and peace with his family and himself, both mentally and physically. Our love and prayers.
