More detail on this person: Maj Elgin R Marsh Funeral rites for Maj. Elgin R. Marsh Jr., 35, Sun Prairie, who died Tuesday unexpectedly, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Monona. Burial will be with full military honors in Roselawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gunderson Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Dr., from 4 to 9 tonight. Maj. Marsh had returned home on July 7 from his second tour of duty in Vietnam. He was a 13-year Army veteran. Coroner Clyde Chamberlain said his death was due to an apparent heart attack. He was an army aviator and aircraft maintenance officer and a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff High School and the University of Wisconsin, where he received his master's degree in 1962. Surviving are his wife, the former Karen Grinde; a son, Victor, and a daughter, Nanette, both at home; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Marsh Sr., Poynette.
