More detail on this person: Bob was an UH-1
Gun Ship and AH-1G pilot who flew for A Btry,
4th/77th ARA, 101st Air Mobile Division from
December 1968 to December 1969. He was an
outstanding Aviator who survived while flying some
of the most dangerous combat missions in Viet
Nam (night and day) as we were on 2 minute call
24/7.
After returning to the states and being assigned
to Fort Rucker, Alabama, he died while riding on
the back of a friends new Harley Davidson. A
fully loaded logging truck pulled out in front of
them across a narrow road and Bob and his friend
were killed instantly. He is interred in a small
cemetary near Fort Rucker.
He was one of Army Aviation's best and a dear and
trusted friend.
