More detail on this person: Clifford McDuffy From: News Article Centre Daily Times Thursday, Mar 18, 1971 State College, PA Army Senior Flight Wings Major Clifford McDuffy, assistant professor of military science at the University, received U.S. Army Senior Aviation Wings, after meeting requirements for top flight status. An Army ROTC flight coordinator for cadets at the University, Maj. McDuffy far exceeded the flight requirement of 1,500 hours having served in combat in Southeast Asia for two 12-month tours in both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft. In addition to flight hours, a pilot must be on flight status a minimum of seven years and demonstrate proficieny in all phases of flying including night, cross-country and instrument flight, in order to qualify for Senior Aviation Wings. Lt. Col. Richard S. Miller, senior assistant professor of military science at the University, made the presentation.
