More detail on this person: It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Andrew McVeigh (Carson City, Nevada), born in Oakland, California, who passed away on June 12, 2021, at the age of 74, in a fatal motorcycle accident while riding with his buddies of the CVMA on Geiger grade, near Lousetown Rd. Virginia City / Reno. As a 22-year Army Veteran CW3, Mark proudly served his Country for 22 years, including 3 tours in Viet Nam and flew as MEDEVAC helicopter pilot while there. He was a member of the American Legion Post #31, Elks #2177 and the EAA 403. Mark loved telling and pulling jokes on his friends and loved passionately. Mark died doing what he enjoyed. Leaving to mourn Mark is his wife Diana of 20 years, his son Marc McVeigh of Prundale, California and daughter Nichole Wallace of Salinas, California by a previous marriage, four grandchildren Shawn, Samantha and Emma McVeigh and Kyle Wallace, and hundreds of friends, family, work family and associates. Internment of Mark's ashes in the Seaside Military Cemetery, CA are being planned.. For those who knew him, he has burned a hole in our hearts to be forever remembered and will be tremendously missed.
