EUGENE MILLER ARMY RETIREE Augusta Chronicle, The (GA) - Wednesday, January 17, 2001 Mr. Eugene Ray Miller, 72, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Starling-Hatcher Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas R. Conway officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Miller, a native of Alliance, Ohio, had retired as a chief warrant officer from the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, during which he earned a Bronze Star, and had retired as plant manager from Boral Brick Co. He was a member of Retired Officers Association and Burns Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Miller; three sons, Jamin Miller, Clarksville, Jonny Miller, Grovetown, and Paul Miller, Atlanta; a daughter, Amy Pollock, Augusta; a brother, Richard Miller, Atwater, Ohio; two sisters, Flora A. Royer, Atwater, and Betty Schneider, Alliance; and nine grandchildren. Memorials may be made to: Burns Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2372 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
