More detail on this person: Capt. David Neville Moore, 72, of Meadville, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown. David was born in Somerville, NJ on November 8, 1945, a son of the late Clifford and Sara E. (Neville) Moore. On July 21, 2006 David married Christine A. Rothemich; she survives. He was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church. David retired in 2012 from Southern Motion, Inc., Pontotoc, MS, where he worked in Human Following David's graduation from North Hunterdon High School in 1963, he furthered his education by graduating from Rider College, now University, in 1967 with a BS in Manufacturing Management. Enlisting in the US Army in Oct. 1967, promoted to Captain in 1970, Captain Moore served his country for the next 30 years as a helicopter pilot between the US Army and the Army Reserves. He had served during the Vietnam Conflict, Desert Storm/Shield and had been stationed in Germany. His hobbies included woodworking, gardening and camping. In addition to his wife Christine, David is survived by two children Eric D. Moore of Dyersburg, TN, Emily E. Shelton (Jason), Arlington, TN, two step-children Sharon K. Young (Trevor), Penfield, NY, Jennifer K. O'Toole (Mark), Rochester, NY, seven grandchildren Foster and Walker Shelton, Anna, Allison and Avery Young, Michael and Nicholas O'Toole, a sister Sandra Freeborn, Califon, NJ, three brothers Clifford Moore (Betty), Wind Gap, James Moore (Carlotta), Califon, NJ, Robert Moore (Clara), Washington, NJ, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4 PM on Wednesday at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT STREET, MEADVILLE, where funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 8, with Fr. Tom Trocchio, officiating. David will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lustgarten Foundation For Pancreatic Cancer Research, 415 Crossways Park Drive, Suite D, Woodbury, NY 11797.
