More detail on this person: ROBERT K. MOORE - MELBOURNE Robert K. Moore, 85, a retired Army Colonel, formerly of Marlinton, WV and 25 wonderful years on the Space Coast, passed away peacefully at sunrise on Wednesday, May 16, 2007. He is survived by his partner of over 60 years, Ryanna, who is now residing at Towne Square Assisted Living Facility in Melbourne, and his daughter, Marianne. Bob and his family took his love for aviation all over the globe. His military career included the Army command and general staff and U.S. Army War College. During his last tour of duty he was instrumental in the development of the Army Aviation Program as Executive Officer to Assistant Secretary of the Army for Research and Development. On the Space Coast, Bob and Ryanna lived happily at Indian River Colony Club. He served as a member of the Retired Officers Association, Cape Canaveral Chapter and Survivors Assistance Organization at IRCC. Please join his family and friends for a celebration of his life, Saturday, May 19th at 2 p.m. at Beach Funeral Home West Chapel, Melbourne/Suntree. His wife and daughter ask in lieu of flowers that a gift be made to Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice and Palliative Care. May God be as good to others as he was to me. Bob Moore.
