Cause of death was progressive organ failure, which is believed to be a result of exposure to agent orange during his service in Vietnam. He passed with his son at his side, holding his hand. Stanley Morris was born on Sept. 11, 1927, in New Orleans, to Stanley Stewart Morris, Sr. and Elizabeth Wall Morris. His siblings were Ellen and William Morris. Consistently going beyond the normal call of duty, he set the record for his battalion in physical fitness scoring at the age of 44, and in Vietnam served as firearms instructor for his battalion even though his primary duty was aviation. Stanley Morris married Marion O'Niell Feb. 21, 1963, and they had a son named Stanley Stewart Morris, III, in 1965.
