More detail on this person: James A Motisi Reserve pilot dies after crash WILLOW GROVE - A Marine Reserve captain from Franklin Lakes, N.J., died at 2 p.m. yesterday after the helicopter he was co-piloting crashed in a wooded area about a mile and a half from Willow Grove Naval Air Station. Capt. James Motisi, 31, was on what a military spokesman termed "routine training operations" during weekend reserve training at the base. Motisi, a veteran pilot who flew helicopters during the Vietnam war, died in Abington Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Betty, and an 11-year-old daughter. Capt. William Battey, 30, of Media, Pa. - the pilot of the ill-fated CH-53A Sea Stallion aircraft - was treated for a hand injury; and a crewman - the only other person onboard - escaped injury. The Marine Corps is investigating the crash, a spokesman said. The Sea Stallion, which can carry 38 passengers, is "the largest helicopter the Marine Corps has," he said.
