Deacon Art Bakeler will conduct the funeral services Burial will take place at a later date at Gracelawn Memorial Park in New Castle, DE. Mr. Mulderick, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Edward and Ethel Mulderick Sr. Originally born in Wilmington, DE, and raised in New Castle, DE where he attended Wilmington Manor Elementary and William Penn High School before obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Psychology at the University of Delaware. After college, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served in Vietnam as a UH1 Huey Helicopter pilot with the 120th Assault Helicopter Squadron. After his discharge from the Army, he served in the Louisiana National Guard as a helicopter pilot. After his time with the National Guard, Ed became a permanent resident of Louisiana, where he later earned his Master's of Business Administration from Loyola University in New Orleans. In High School he learned to play the saxophone and this began his lifelong love for Jazz and played in multiple concert bands including The Iberia Community Band and Lafayette Concert Band. Ed was an avid, life-long runner participating in 30 Crescent City Classic races among other races throughout the state. After self-educating himself in French, he became a member and officer with Alliance Francaise de Lafayette. He is survived by his two sons, Kyle Mulderick and wife Megan, Colin Mulderick and wife Lesley; companion, Faye Morford; and former spouse, Susan Mulderick. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward John and Ethel Mulderick Sr. Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand
