More detail on this person: MULLEN, Col. George M. (Mike) Died December 10, 2005 He was born July 27, 1940 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, to William Joseph and Georgia Cook Mullen. He received a B.Sc. degree from the United States Naval Academy, a master's degree in aero space engineering from the University of Alabama and was a graduate of the United States Naval Test Pilot School and the National Defense University. Col. Mullen served his country for thirty two years as an officer in the United States Army. He was a brigade commander, an experimental test pilot and a veteran of the Dominican Republic and Vietnam. Loved and loving husband of Sandra, adored father of Leslie (Robert) of Montreal and Michael of Ottawa, proud grandfather of three cherished grandchildren, Joe, Georgia and David. He is remembered by his mother, Georgia, brothers Bill (Norma), Jim (Susan) and Tom and sisters, Pat Wilson (Ken) and Kathy Mullen. Mass will be at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 15th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas More-Arcadia Outreach, 2506 Gulf Gate Drive, Sarasota, Florida 34231. Toale Brothers Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
