Beloved husband of Mary Ann, with whom he enjoyed a life filled with love. Loving father of Sharon Casey and her husband, Brian, and Michael and his wife, Deborah. Devoted grandfather to Matthew, Megan, and Molly Casey, and Ryan and John Mulroy. He is also survived by sisters, Rosemary Kottke, Kathleen Mulroy Ashland, Bette O'Neal, and Maureen O'Brien; along with twenty-seven nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Josephine Mulroy, brothers Martin, John, and William, as well as sisters Margaret Guthrie and Patricia Mulroy-Fischrup. He was a graduate of Northern Illinois University and the Indiana University School of Law. He was Editor-in-Chief of the Indiana University Law Journal. He distinguished himself as an attorney in Columbus for thirty years, retiring in 2000. A decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country as a helicopter pilot with the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of First Community Church, the Ohio and Columbus Bar Associations, he served as Chairman of the Rickenbacker Port Authority, Chairman of First Community Village, Director of the Cummins-Allison Corporation, and former Trustee of the Downtown Columbus Kiwanis Club. He was deeply proud of his family and his Irish heritage. A man of incredible generosity, sage advice, utmost integrity, great warmth, endless stories and good jokes. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed dearly by all. The family will receive friends Friday, February 3 from 2-4 p.m. and again from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, at First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Blvd. Rev. James Long officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 163549, Columbus, Ohio 43216-3549, or a charity of your choice in his memory.
