More detail on this person: Wayne L Mabe Daily Press (Newport News, VA) - May 7, 1991 NEWPORT NEWS - Retired Army Chief Warrant Officer Wayne L. Mabe, 60, died Monday, May 6, in Riverside Regional Medical Center. Chief Warrant Officer Mabe retired from the Army in 1968 after 20 years of service. He also retired from Virginia Power as a business manager in 1988 after 10 years' service. He was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a Peninsula resident for 28 years. Mr. Mabe was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Richmond. He was also a member of Henry Barnes Masonic Lodge 607 of Dayton, Ky., and Scottish Rite Bodies of Danville, Ill. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne C. Mabe; two sons, Thomas S. Mabe of Newport News and Michael W. Mabe of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Mary Ann Mabe of Cincinnati; a brother, Lindy E. Mabe of La Follette, Tenn.; and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home by Chaplain Arthur F. Jensen. Burial with military honors will be in Peninsula Memorial Park.
