More detail on this person: Jimmy served in Vietnam from 69-70 with the 117th. His call sign was Sidewinder 4. After a break in service he rejoined in 1976. He got an Apache transition and was sent to Desert Storm. Upon returning he had a heart attack and was taken off of flight status. That was the end of the army for him. He decided to get out in 92 and eventually took a job with the US Marshall Service in Alexandria, La. In 1996 he was diagnosed with lung cancer attributed to Agent Orange. He died in Alexandria on March 13, 1999 at 50 years old. He is buried in his home town of Mt. Vernon, IL.
