More detail on this person: Capt. Earl Raefiel Moore, Jr. Moore entered the University of North Carolina from Erwin High School in 1960. After graduation, he was enrolled in UNC's law school in 1964 and '65. He had completed one tour in Vietnam when he was killed in a plane crash in Alabama near Fort Rucker during a training flight. He had recently returned from a tour of duty as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. My brother was killed in a T28 crash in June 1970 while training pilots out of Pensacola Naval Air Station. John Moore.
