More detail on this person: Funeral for retired Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert M. Moore, 71, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Olivet Baptist Church with the Rev.Floyd D. Allen Jr., pastor, and the Rev. George C. Malloy, evangelist at United Pentecostal Church, and the Rev. William A. Arnold Jr.,interim pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiating.

Mr. Moore died Sunday at his home following a lengthy illness. Burial with military honors will be in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Sunset Memorial Gardens, under direction of Becker Funeral Home.

He was born July 1, 1928, in Annvjlle, Ky., to Jesse H. Moore and Zona Riley Moore. He graduated high school in Annville. He attended Cameron University, the University of California, and the University of Maryland. He retired from the Army on Sept.30, 1966. He was an Army pilot for 15 years and was an instructor of both helicopter and fixed wing planes. His duty stations were: Fort Knox, Ky., Fort Benning, Ga., Sandia Base, N.M., Japan, Korea, Vietnam and Fort Sill. His service awards and commendations included Purple Heart, Sr. Army Aviation Badge, Air Medal with 8th oak leaf cluster, Korean Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Korean Campaign Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, United Nation Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal with 1st oak leaf cluster and Armed Forces Res. Medal.

Following his retirement from the Army, he was employed, by Hawthorne Aviation as a test pilol for two years. He purchased the Hertz Rent-A-Car franchise for Lawton and Wichita Falls, Texas, in 1967, which he still owned and operated at the time of his death. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church where he served as deacon for seven years and was the Sunday school director. He married Bertha McGee Moore on Oct.25, 1947, in Williamsburg, Ky.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Janice Gail Wagoner and her husband, Al; two sisters: Loris Nantz and her husband, John, Hamilton, Ohio; and JoyceTincher and her husband,- Leo, Annville; two brothers: Vernon Moore and his wife, Charlotte,Brookville, Ohio; and Dave Moore and his wife, Jo, Oneida, Tenn a granddaughter, Jennifer R. Powell and her husband, Jayson; two great-granddaughters: Bethany and Jessika Powell; two step-grandchildren: Stacey Wagoner, Chandler, Texas; and Christopher Wagoner, Lawton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles. Memorial contributions may be made to Olivet Baptist Church Building Fund, 320 SW 67th, Lawton, Okla. 73505.
