More detail on this person: COL (R) Murphy was the Aviation Training Brigade (ATB) Commander at Rucker in the early 1990s. (I was an AH-64A IP at Hanchey AAF at that time.) He was a retired 0-6 Colonel when he died in Alabama, not a Major.
