More detail on this person: Bill Caperton Martin, 78, passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, in Mansfield. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1200 W. Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington. Interment: A private graveside service has been held in Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Bill was born Jan. 25, 1937, in Vicksburg, Miss., to Howard Collier Martin and Allie Noreen Caperton Martin. An Arlington resident for the past 47 years, he was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a captain and helicopter pilot. He retired from Bell Helicopter as an experimental flight test engineer. Survivors: Wife of 54 years, Patricia Martin; children, Chris Martin and family, Ginger Martin Hoffman and family, and Brian Martin and family; brother, Dr. Tom Martin and family; and six grandchildren.
