EDWARD - age 62, of Maryville, passed away
Saturday September 26, 2009. Daniel was a veteran
of the United States Army during the Vietnam War
and retired member of the Tennessee Army
National Guard where he served as a helicopter
pilot. He also assisted in founding the U.T.
Hospital Life Star program (1982-1988) and the
Erlanger Hospital Life Force program (1988-1997).
Following this air medical service, Daniel founded
Satellite Technology Implementation, Inc to
improve the capabilities of air medical providers.
Daniel was a loving husband, and father. He was
born in Columbia, TN and was preceded in death by
his mother, Robbie Barker Norman and father,
Bonnie Edward Norman. He is survived by his wife
of 38 years, Louise Norman; son, Michael Edward
Norman and daughter-in-law, Amanda Gilliland
Norman; sister, Patricia Norman Woodall and
brother-in-law, William Clay Woodall. Funeral
services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday,
September 30, 2009 at St. Andrews Episcopal
Church with Rector Steve Mosher officiating. The
interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The
family will receive friends 5:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday
September 29th, 2009 at
McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In lieu of
flowers: donations may be made to Wounded
Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517 Topeka, KS
66675-8517 or to the Blount County Public Library,
508 N. Cusick St., Maryville, TN. 37804.
