More detail on this person: It is with deep sorrow that I contact you today. Van passed away last Saturday, April 22nd. He suffered from severe PTSD ever since the war, and finally lost the battle. He took his own life. Our sons and I pray that he has finally found peace. We like to think of him up there in the great blue yonder, dancing above the clouds as he did all his life. Flying was his one and only true passion, and we all understood that. Receiving your newsletter always left him thoughtful, and often in tears. I tried as best I could to understand him and help him find healing, but could never really reach him. He was my husband for 43 years. Sincerely, Mimi Nicholas
