More detail on this person: We are sad to announce that on July 17, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Charles Edward Noyes of Naperville, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. He was predeceased by : his parents, Helen Noyes and Fredrick Noyes; and his siblings, Louise Elizabeth Noyes and Robert Paul Noyes. He is survived by : his wife Terry Noyes; his children, Michelle Millette (Mike) and James Noyes; and his granddaughter Brigid. He is also survived by 2 sisters, 1 brother and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (801 Oak St, North Aurora, IL 60542). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dieterle Memorial (1120 S Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538). A burial will be held on Thursday, August 4th 2022 at 10:30 AM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421). NOYES, Charles "Chuck" Edward Age 82, of Naperville, IL and formerly of North Aurora, IL, passed away on July 17, 2022. He was born December 6, 1939, the son of Helen and Fredrick Noyes. Chuck "Charlie" attended Charlestown High School in Boston, was in the co-op program where he became an apprentice electrician. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1957 and went on to study electronics and became a radar technician. With encouragement from his squadron commander he applied for admission to the Air Force Academy. After a year of prep school, he was admitted to USAFA class of 1964, and was in the 20th squadron. He received a BS in Military Science. Went to helicopter pilot training and flew HH43-B choppers for 2 years, then became a helicopter instructor. Went back to pilot training and learned to fly fixed wing planes. Flew C130's for 6 years. Received an MBA in 1980 and retired from the military. Chuck liked electronics; he was an entrepreneur, a handyman, mechanic, and had many hobbies. He flew RC airplanes, made and flew his own kites, and loved astronomy. Chuck was a member of the Fox Valley Aero Club, was a 3rd and 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Chuck is survived by his wife, Terry Noyes; daughter, Michelle Millette (Mike); son, James Noyes; granddaughter, Brigid; 2 sisters, 1 brother and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Fredrick Noyes; sister, Louise Elizabeth Noyes, brother Robert Paul Noyes and other family members. In lieu of flowers, donations under Chuck's name may be made to The Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st St. #800, Miami, FL 33131. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 801 Oak St., North Aurora, IL 60542. Following Mass, family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave., Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will take place the following day, Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
