More detail on this person: Mr Norman T Neder, 52 INDEX TO OBITUARIES Macon Telegraph, The (GA) - Friday, December 11, 1998 52, formerly of Milledgeville, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, in LaFayette, Ala., where he was living. Graveside services with military honors will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Baldwin Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Robin Lindsay officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 7 to 9 at White Columns Funeral Home, Milledgeville. Mr. Neder was a native of Jacksonville, Fla., but had made his home in Milledgeville for many years. He was married to the late Jan Seneker Neder. He served in the Army as a lead helicopter pilot during the Vietnam Conflict, was an aircraft commander in an assault company and participated in the Cambodian invasion. He was twice rounded, received the Purple Heart, the Silver Star, several air medals for valor and was one of the very select few Army pilots who were awarded the Navy Cross of Honor for Bravery. Mr. Neder was a graduate of Georgia Military College, was a magna cum laude graduate with a BBA from the University of Georgia and received an MBA from Georgia College. He served as administrator of Baldwin County Hospital from the early 1970s until 1989 when it became necessary for him to take disability retirement as a result of serious injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. He and his wife Jan operated an emu farm in Milledgeville until her death in 1995. While serving as administrator of Baldwin County Hospital he was active in the Georgia Hospital Association and served on the Associations Board of Trustees, was president of the Central District Association, a member of the American Hospital Association and was a nominee of the American College of Hospital Administrators. He was also a member of the Milledgeville Kiwanis Club. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Sandi Plaginos Neder of LaFayette, Ala.; daughter, Amy Neder of Studio City, Calif.; sister, Mary Neder Kerr of St. Charles, Ill.; two nieces, Jennifer Kerr Robinson of Atlanta, Mary Morgan Seneker of Macon; nephew, John Kerr of Gurnee, Ill. The family will be at the residence of Jane Seneker, 197 Lakeshore Circle, Milledgeville. White Columns Funeral Home in Milledgeville has charge of arrangements.
