More detail on this person: James M. Newcombe James M. Newcombe AnnArbor.com (MI) - Monday, August 20, 2012 NEWCOMBE, JAMES M. JR. Saline, MI Age 62, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at his home with his wife and children by his side. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Saline, with Rev. Dr. James E. Tuttle, officiating. Uncle Jim you are loved and will be missed. The anticipation and excitment of your visits to NC at 30 something was the same as when I was 10. The most exciting story I have to tell my kids is because of you. You took me up in my first helicopter ride, only to be followed by a trip in a private plane from MI to CO. Who knew you could be served steak and eggs as "plane food" or that a stock of m&m's was considered by some as mandatory. Most of all I love the pride I see in my kids when they tell someone that their Uncle Jim is a Vietnam Veteran. Aunt Judy, Jeffery, and Janelle you are all in my thoughts and prayers. We love you.
