More detail on this person: Chapman C. Norton OBITUARIES Savannah Morning News (GA) - Wednesday, June 14, 2000 MIDWAY -- Chapman C. ''Chap'' Norton, 73, died June 10 at home. He was born in New York and lived in Midway for several years. He was a 1950 graduate of the University of Maine and taught science at Kettering for two years. He served in the Army in World War II and reentered the Army in 1951 as a second lieutenant. He was assigned to the Army Aviation Training School at Hunter Army Airfield in 1967 as chief of the Aircraft Accident Investigation section. He retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1969. He was a veteran of three wars and volunteered and served another year during Desert Storm. He was employed by Chatham County Mosquito Control as a pilot and source reduction supervisor, retiring after 15 years of service.
