More detail on this person: On Friday 4/19/01 I was notified by his first wife Marlene that Merlin H. Olson had died on 4/18/01. He was the Mechanical Maintenance Officer of B Company 7th Spt BN, 199th LIB, RVN, 1968/1969. I am still in shock that he had died and that Marlene was the one to notify me as he hated her so much, with possibly good reason from his story. Ollie had retired many years before as a Major and had lived in Enterprise, AL. He had work as a helicopter instructor for many years at Fort Rucker before PTSD and pain from the couple of helicopter accidents got to him. In March, 01 Ollie had move to NC to live with one of his daughters as the pain and PTSD had taken over his life. It sure is a sad story and day.
