More detail on this person: Dr. Richard James Oglesby IV Dr. Richard James Oglesby IV, 63, of Wichita, Kansas died Feb. 3, 2011 in Wichita. He was born April 11, 1947, in Springfield, IL, the son of Richard Oglesby III and Yolande Oglesby of Taylorville, IL. Dr. Oglesby was a retired anesthesiologist at Wichita Anesthesia Chartered. He graduated from Culver Military Academy and served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Army. Dr. Oglesby graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, KY, in 1982. He practiced anesthesiology in both Cody and Rawlins, WY before moving to Wichita. Surviving are his wife, JoDeen of Wichita, Kansas; son, Richard J. Oglesby V of Louisville, KY; mother, Yolande Oglesby of Taylorville, IL; brother, Mark Lasswell of Taylorville, IL; and sister, Yolande Knight, of suburban Chicago, IL. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel, Wichita.
