More detail on this person: Daryl Francis Osberg, devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, in Southlake, Texas. Memorial visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of memorial Mass at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Techny Towers, 2001 Waukegan Road, Techny, IL 60082. Dinner will follow from 4 to 8 p.m. at an alternate location. Daryl Osberg was born May 7, 1947, in Chicago, to LeRoy Osberg and Dorothy Kenney Osberg. A 1965 graduate of Palatine High School, he obtained a mechanical engineer degree at Illinois Institute of Technology. He worked as an engineer at Northrup Grumman and Motorola during his career. He was a Vietnam helicopter pilot and spent 32 years in the Illinois and Texas Army National Guard. Surviors include his loving wife, Willa Jean (Baker) Osberg; children, Jason (Hannah) of Champaign, Ill., Justin of Palatine and Jessica of Chicago; grandchildren. Wilson, Chloe and Ava; brothers, James, John and Kenneth; and his beloved dog, Taidhgin.
