More detail on this person: Robert Lyle Offutt, age 74, of Branson West, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019. He began his life March 31, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Lyle and Imogene (Fudge) Offutt. Robert's father has preceded him in death. Robert proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam as a helicopter pilot and made his way in rank to Chief Warrant Officer. He always was a jokester, liked to grow plants and trees, collected a lot of flea market finds, owned several small businesses, tinkered with projects till he fixed them, was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching NASCAR. A celebration of life was held Thursday, March 28, 2019, at The Springs Church, 5500 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO, with a committal service, with full military honors , in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
