More detail on this person: Otto Elko Offereins left this world on November 20, 2010 to join his parents and brothers.

Otto was born on August 12, 1946, in Bandung, Indonesia to Hank and Rita Offereins. Otto returned with his family to their home country, Holland, in 1950. In 1959 Otto's family immigrated to the United States, settling in Salinas, California. Otto graduated from North Salinas High School and attended Hartnell College prior to enlisting in the U.S.Army, becoming a Warrant Officer and helicopter pilot. He served his country in Vietnam and after flying numerous missions, returned to the United States as a Chief Warrant Officer and Wing Commander with many citations and medals.

Following his military service Otto worked in sales for a number of large international high tech companies. He thoroughly enjoyed his career which allowed him to travel throughout the world.

He is preceded death by his parents and two brothers.

Survivors: His brothers Evert (Michele) of San Jose and Joop (Francee) of Salinas; children Kurt (Jen) of Spokane, WA., Megan Emrich of Paso Robles and Michael of Chicago IL., Three grandchildren, Ally, Owen and Graham.

A private service and celebration of life with military honors was held by family and close friends on Padre Island, TX.
