More detail on this person: After a nine month battle with pancreatic cancer.Roman Ochotsky, 57, died on November 23, 2005 after a nine month battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in New Jersey on February 9, 1947 he was living in Oceanside, California at the time of his death. Roman was in class 66-9/66-11 and served in the 189th and 57th AHC. Following Vietnam Roman was a flight instructor at Hunter Army Airfield. After his Army tour, Roman remained in aviation flying helicopters, various fixed wing, including 737s, and 747s. With him at his death, at the home of his fiance, Christina Shymkovich, were Christina, his mother, his ex-wife Diane, his two adult children - Melanie & Robert Ochotsky, and others who were close to him.
